About the role
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess the potential impact on the organization
- Maintain EHS compliance programs aligned with national, regional, and local regulations
- Support sites globally relative to legal obligations, company requirements, and other obligations
- Lead the internal EHS audit program including auditor development/training and effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS requirements into business processes
- Support EHS integration post M&A activities
- Lead onboarding for new hired EHS professionals
- Deliver training and awareness programs to promote compliance and safety culture
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), data analytics, and execute trend analysis
- Implement EHS Framework program consistency across the globe
- Lead the global ISO14001 Environmental Management System certification and ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System and certifications
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding environmental and safety practices
- Analyze the effectiveness of the EHS program against business KPIs
- Lead the identification of environmental risks & opportunities and execute improvement plans
- Perform other duties as may be required.
Requirements
- 7+ years of EHS experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing
- 3+ years’ experience in environmental regulatory compliance and/or process safety in the metalworking or chemical industry preferred
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with EHS management systems and audit protocols
- Lift up to 25 pounds
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) are a plus.
