About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate strategy into executable category plans and portfolio initiatives
  • Optimize portfolio structure and assortment across assigned categories
  • Drive portfolio performance through lifecycle management
  • Prioritize initiatives and allocate resources to maximize business value
  • Translate customer, market, and competitive insights into product and merchandising plans
  • Identify opportunities, manage risks, and recommend portfolio adjustments and investment priorities
  • Achieve category revenue, gross margin, inventory productivity, and profitability objectives
  • Develop P&L, annual operating plans, pricing architecture, and investment allocation with Finance
  • Partner with Supply Chain on cost and pricing frameworks, vendor negotiations, and data governance
  • Lead portfolio reviews, milestone governance, and cross-functional decision-making
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales on product execution and launches
  • Lead product development priorities, governance, and resource allocation
  • Oversee product development initiatives for design integrity, technical precision, quality, compliance, and brand standards
  • Partner with Engineering, Compliance, Quality, and external vendors on innovation and operational readiness
  • Use PLM tools and digital platforms to improve development timelines and product data accuracy
  • Monitor competitors and market trends to inform portfolio recommendations
  • Lead global merchandising strategy across regional and channel needs
  • Collaborate with Store Design, Marketing, and Digital on in-store and online merchandising experiences
  • Develop a high-performing Product Development and Merchandising team through coaching and succession planning
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 15+ years leading product strategy, merchandising, product development, and business management within premium, luxury, or design-led consumer products
  • Demonstrated success managing global supplier relationships, manufacturing partners, and complex product development programs
  • Exceptional business acumen using financial analysis, market insights, and customer data to guide investment decisions
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional organizations through influence, organizational alignment, and strategic decision-making
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) beneficial
  • Domestic and international travel required
  • Onsite presence required a minimum of 3 days per week, potentially more based on business need
