About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain accurate inventory records by monitoring transactions and investigating discrepancies
- Perform inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities
- Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages or excess inventory
- Maintain inventory organization and proper material identification
- Coordinate inventory adjustments and document inventory variances
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for inventory control and warehouse processes
- Monitor and follow up on backordered parts with vendors
- Obtain supplier ETAs and communicate updates to internal departments
- Research and identify replacement parts using bills of materials, engineering drawings, parts manuals, and vendor resources
- Coordinate part availability to support production schedules and customer orders
- Prepare and submit purchase requisitions
- Work with Purchasing to expedite critical orders and resolve supply issues
- Monitor open purchase requests and follow up on outstanding orders
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- 2–5 years of inventory control, purchasing, warehouse administration, or parts coordination experience
- Manufacturing or heavy equipment industry experience preferred
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems preferred
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in both an office and warehouse environment
- Frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment
