About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide oversight and day-to-day management of research administration
  • Perform pre-award duties for complex proposals, including program projects, ARPA-H, DOD, and DOE applications
  • Support faculty with proposal preparation, budgeting, analysis, justifications, and submission
  • Liaise between the Chair, faculty, Department Administrators, Post-Award, OSRS, and SPA
  • Prepare and review agency forms, grant budgets, compliance data, subaward documentation, and signatures
  • Manage award reviews, grant databases, annual agency reports, revised budgets, and grant transfers
  • Coordinate research compliance information, including biosketches, trainee information, and human/animal protocol approvals
  • Close complex sponsored projects and submit final reports and invention statements
  • Manage sponsored-project budgets, expenditures, reconciliations, payroll sourcing, cost transfers, purchasing documents, and subaward invoices
  • Prepare financial reports and correspondence for granting agencies, PIs, and senior leadership
  • Manage Research Center Cores/Subcores, program income, bridge/seed and institutional funds
  • Prepare Center invoices, financial reports, forecasts, inventories, strategic-planning information, and renewal materials
  • Coordinate Center lectures, forums, workshops, meetings, symposiums, and communications
  • Assist senior leadership with special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
  • Relevant Experience (4 Years)
  • Grants Administration (2 Years)
  • Knowledge of S2S and SUBS systems preferred
  • Knowledge of agency guidelines preferred
  • Successful completion of required pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and applicable checks
  • Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily
  • No specific certification/professional license required
  • Driver’s license not required
