About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and execute complex diagnostic and trend analyses across multiple systems and data sources
  • Own dashboard and report development for assigned data products, including release cycles and documentation
  • Develop analytical logic and data models with data engineers
  • Lead proof-of-concept work evaluating analytical approaches, tools, and platforms
  • Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities
  • Lead stakeholder interviews and requirements-gathering sessions
  • Translate business needs into data specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Own backlog refinement and feature prioritization
  • Document workflows, decision logic, and future-state process designs
  • Sequence and deliver analytical capabilities with the Data Product Lead and data engineers
  • Define and implement data quality rules
  • Maintain data dictionaries, metadata standards, and lineage documentation
  • Plan and execute QA and UAT; validate analytical outputs before release
  • Contribute to and enforce enterprise data governance and stewardship practices
  • Mentor and guide Data Analyst I staff
  • Deliver business-user training on data products and data literacy
  • Prepare leadership presentations and written reports communicating decision-driving insights
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong SQL proficiency
  • Proficiency in Python or R
  • Experience with diagnostic and trend analyses across multiple systems and data sources
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, analytical logic, and data models
  • Experience with data quality rules, data dictionaries, metadata standards, and lineage documentation
  • Experience planning and executing QA and UAT
  • Knowledge of enterprise data governance and stewardship practices
  • Ability to lead stakeholder interviews and requirements-gathering sessions
  • Ability to create data specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Ability to conduct backlog refinement and feature prioritization
  • Ability to deliver data-product and data-literacy training
  • Ability to participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • No specific certification/professional license is required
  • A driver's license is not required
