About the role

  • Prepare, review and negotiate outgoing subagreements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and legal framework and vast compliance rules affecting sponsored research agreements.
  • Provide detail-oriented review of SUBSystem Required Items while enforcing compliance with university, school and external agency policies related to outgoing subawards.
  • Analyze sponsored research awards received from external funding agencies for required flow down terms, and active assurances (animals, humans, conflict of interest, etc.) to prepare appropriate outgoing subaward agreements.
  • Manage workload using status transparency for prioritization.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of all subawards to OSRS Signing Official for approval.
  • Administer and Manage the SUBS template portfolio of attachments, institutional database and internal Process documents.
  • Exercise sound judgment regarding financial information to accurately create and approve Supplier Contracts (formerly Purchase Orders) and Supplier Contract Amendments in the university financial system (Workday) for subrecipient funding encumbrances.
  • Provide expert advice and training to university research administrators and faculty on research administration processes and policies.
  • Manage FFATA reporting using SUBSystem FFATA reports and fsrs.gov.
  • Prepare weekly status report of SUBS teamwork load to facilitate prioritization and necessary follow-up of workload for Subagreements.
  • Assist Manager with special projects and perform other tasks as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
