About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepares and maintains exam rooms
Prepares charts, obtains reports and records
Assists with patient flow in the clinical office
Interacts directly with patients and completes tasks such as obtaining vital signs and conducting EKGs
Completes necessary paperwork and documentation timely
Monitors supply inventory and ensures compliance with regulations
Maintains required HIPAA compliance and participates in continuing education and cross-training programs

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
Basic Life Support certification from either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
Relevant experience in medical assisting for 3 years
Registered or Certified Medical Assistant with six months of related work experience
Ability to show proof of a Medical Assistant certification/registration with successful completion of certification exam within six months of hire date
