About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepares and maintains exam rooms
  • Prepares charts, obtains reports and records
  • Assists with patient flow in the clinical office
  • Interacts directly with patients and completes tasks such as obtaining vital signs and conducting EKGs
  • Completes necessary paperwork and documentation timely
  • Monitors supply inventory and ensures compliance with regulations
  • Maintains required HIPAA compliance and participates in continuing education and cross-training programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
  • Basic Life Support certification from either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • Relevant experience in medical assisting for 3 years
  • Registered or Certified Medical Assistant with six months of related work experience
  • Ability to show proof of a Medical Assistant certification/registration with successful completion of certification exam within six months of hire date
