About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides direct patient care including obtaining patient history, performing assessments, ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic studies.
  • Provides treatment and management of acute and chronic disease conditions, develops and implements patient-centered plans of care.
  • Provides counseling and education to patients and their families on disease management and prevention.
  • Manages health conditions via prescriptive authority or referrals, may perform diagnostic or therapeutic interventions consistent with certification.
  • Contributes to quality improvement and patient care initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree or Graduate of PA program.
  • Nurse Practitioner must have Advanced Practical Nurse licensure or ability to obtain within three months.
  • Physician Assistant must have current PA licensure to practice in Missouri and/or Illinois or ability to obtain within three months.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient).
  • Oncology experience is highly preferred.
