About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides direct patient care including obtaining patient history, performing assessments, ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic studies.
- Provides treatment and management of acute and chronic disease conditions, develops and implements patient-centered plans of care.
- Provides counseling and education to patients and their families on disease management and prevention.
- Manages health conditions via prescriptive authority or referrals, may perform diagnostic or therapeutic interventions consistent with certification.
- Contributes to quality improvement and patient care initiatives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree or Graduate of PA program.
- Nurse Practitioner must have Advanced Practical Nurse licensure or ability to obtain within three months.
- Physician Assistant must have current PA licensure to practice in Missouri and/or Illinois or ability to obtain within three months.
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient).
- Oncology experience is highly preferred.
