About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides audit and input of assigned academic and nonacademic transactions
- Advises and assists departmental supervisors on payroll related issues
- Processes payroll transactions for academic and nonacademic personnel
- Assists new employees with completing the appropriate new hire, payroll and benefit forms
- Responsible for departmental foreign national paperwork and compliance for visas
- Assists supervisors with the hiring process including job requisitions, PHS entry and appointment screening
- May maintain sick and vacation leave records for staff personnel
- Prepares cost-transfers and journals adjusting when necessary
- Maintains personnel and payroll related files for department
- May assist supervisors with documentation needed for employee evaluation process
- May assist in annual budget process
- Ensures accuracy and completion of PAR’s reports
- Administers academic bonus plan and faculty compensation plan
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: Associate degree or combination of education and experience may substitute for minimum education
