About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provides audit and input of assigned academic and nonacademic transactions
Advises and assists departmental supervisors on payroll related issues
Processes payroll transactions for academic and nonacademic personnel
Assists new employees with completing the appropriate new hire, payroll and benefit forms
Responsible for departmental foreign national paperwork and compliance for visas
Assists supervisors with the hiring process including job requisitions, PHS entry and appointment screening
May maintain sick and vacation leave records for staff personnel
Prepares cost-transfers and journals adjusting when necessary
Maintains personnel and payroll related files for department
May assist supervisors with documentation needed for employee evaluation process
May assist in annual budget process
Ensures accuracy and completion of PAR’s reports
Administers academic bonus plan and faculty compensation plan
