About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and perform professional billing activities in accordance with the No Surprise Billing Act (NSBA)
  • Utilize Epic tools such as WQs, reports, and modules/applications for billing tasks
  • Process applicable pre-service payments
  • Assist in coordinating out of network authorization and single case agreement processes
  • Verify non-contracted coverage assignments and self-pay services
  • Communicate with patients and process payments prior to service date
  • Collaborate with clinical and scheduling teams for the Epic referral triage process
  • Interact with physicians, clinical staff, and department administrators as liaison for various billing processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
  • 5 Years experience in Billing or Insurance
  • Communication skills
  • Computer Literacy
  • Confidential Data Handling
  • Medical Terminology
  • Office Equipment proficiency
