About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary budget and financial support for multiple academic units
- Prepare and administer departmental budgets, accounts, and reports
- Ensure efficient and effective use of financial resources
- Initiate/review purchasing transactions and maintain documentation
- Process spend authorizations and travel expense reports
- Review invoices and reimbursement requests for compliance
- Monitor account balances and maintain encumbrances
- Complete year-end financial closing procedures
- Assist with post-award grant reporting and reconciliation duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
- Accounting, Business, Administrative Support (3 Years)
- No specific certification/professional license required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Accounting/Bookkeeping (4 Years) preferred
- Skills: Accounting, Accounting Journal Entries, Confidentiality, Deadline Management, Detail-Oriented, Error Correction, Financial Transactions, Invoices, Meeting Organization, Microsoft Office, Multitasking, Oral Communications, Service Oriented, Sound Judgment, Workday Software, Work Efficiency
