About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Reporting directly to the University Chief Information Officer (CIO)
  • Serve as a deputy for the CIO with a foundation in strategic leadership
  • Oversee all IT services provided by WashU IT to the academic and administrative business units
  • Enable IT and digital transformation programs through engagement with university strategic plans
  • Develop, communicate and actively promote overall WashU IT business/technology plans
  • Collaborate to develop and maintain a strategic plan supporting university's strategy for digital transformation
  • Align the organization's application and information strategy with overall business strategy
  • Engage with key stakeholders to promote and grow the adoption of technology initiatives
  • Oversee planning and execution of strategic and critical tactical projects
  • Build and oversee the AVC and executive directors for assigned organization
  • Cultivate a culture of personal responsibility and accountability
