About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate and perform professional billing activities in accordance with the No Surprise Billing Act (NSBA)
Utilize Epic tools such as WQs, reports, and modules/applications for billing activities
Complete the good faith estimate process in Epic for scheduled self pay and uninsured patients
Communicate with patients and process payments prior to service date
Work with division, clinical, and scheduling teams on the Epic referral triage process
Secure out of network authorizations and single case agreements
Engage with physicians, clinical staff, and department administrators as a liaison
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
Billing or Insurance experience (5 Years)
Communication skills
Computer Literacy
Confidential Data Handling
Medical Terminology
Office Equipment proficiency
Payment Collections experience
Telephone System knowledge
