Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for follow-up on insurance billing and appeals activities
  • Verifying accuracy and completeness of appeals and documentation
  • Contacting insurance companies to expedite appeals and payments
  • Performs collection follow-up duties on specific financial classifications
  • Makes collection calls to insurance companies and patients
  • Reviews remittance advises for rejection and accuracy of payment amounts
  • Verifies accuracy and completeness of charge tickets
  • Supports customer service unit in answering billing and collection questions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
  • 2 years of work experience in Bookkeeping/Accounting And/Or Medical Collection Setting
  • Not Applicable for Driver's License
