About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for follow-up on insurance billing and appeals activities
- Verifying accuracy and completeness of appeals and documentation
- Contacting insurance companies to expedite appeals and payments
- Performs collection follow-up duties on specific financial classifications
- Makes collection calls to insurance companies and patients
- Reviews remittance advises for rejection and accuracy of payment amounts
- Verifies accuracy and completeness of charge tickets
- Supports customer service unit in answering billing and collection questions
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
- 2 years of work experience in Bookkeeping/Accounting And/Or Medical Collection Setting
- Not Applicable for Driver's License
