About the role
- Provides assistance in management and monitoring of outstanding accounts
- Training and performance evaluations of central billing office personnel
- Monitoring adherence to department policies and guidelines by regular audits
- Oversees operation of the internal system - creating, assigning and maintaining PCS queues
- Facilitates documentation and files of all meetings and operational decisions
- Supervises billing office functions such as patient admission, interview process, collection of demographics, insurance information, payment arrangements
- Coordinates distribution of periodic statements, invoices and other documents
- Ensures documentation of all policies and procedures by all subordinate personnel
- Assists in monitoring outstanding account balances for the commercial insurance area
- Provides backup for billing staff during peak times, vacations, and illnesses
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Insurance Collection And Supervision (4 Years)
- No specific certification/professional license required
