About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides assistance in management and monitoring of outstanding accounts
  • Training and performance evaluations of central billing office personnel
  • Monitoring adherence to department policies and guidelines by regular audits
  • Oversees operation of the internal system - creating, assigning and maintaining PCS queues
  • Facilitates documentation and files of all meetings and operational decisions
  • Supervises billing office functions such as patient admission, interview process, collection of demographics, insurance information, payment arrangements
  • Coordinates distribution of periodic statements, invoices and other documents
  • Ensures documentation of all policies and procedures by all subordinate personnel
  • Assists in monitoring outstanding account balances for the commercial insurance area
  • Provides backup for billing staff during peak times, vacations, and illnesses

Requirements
