About the role

  • Act as liaison to accounting departments to resolve accounting issues and manage year-end process
  • Tracks and maintains online database of grants submitted, awarded, rejected, etc.
  • Works with PIs to provide fund management and make necessary budgetary changes
  • Approves purchasing documents and provides guidance to purchasing staff on appropriate expenditures
  • Updates and forecasts grant expenditures for faculty grant portfolios
  • Manages contracts and subcontracts and ensures compliance with requirements
  • Creates and processes correspondence with granting agencies
  • Obtains signatures and forwards grant financial status reports to PI and senior leadership
  • Monitors invoices for outgoing subawards
  • Coordinates necessary support with internal and external requests for grant-related information
  • Assists with pre-award activities including proposal submission coordination and development of budgets

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
  • Relevant Experience (1 Year)
  • Knowledge of Research Management System (RMS)
  • Knowledge of SUBS System
  • Knowledge of agency guidelines
  • Skills: Accounting Processes, Adobe Acrobat, Analytical Thinking, Computerized Accounting, Grant Administration, Grants Accounting, Intrapersonal Communication, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Oral Communications, Workday Software, Written Communication
