About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide complex HR support for schools, departments, and Senior Business Partners
- Partner with academic and administrative leaders to develop and implement people strategies
- Advise deans, department chairs, and managers on performance management, development, workforce planning, total rewards, organizational design, and engagement
- Anticipate workforce trends and lead initiatives addressing retention, engagement, and evolving skill requirements
- Oversee local implementation of performance management, talent reviews, and succession planning
- Plan and execute organizational changes, including reorganizations, realignments, and reductions in force
- Facilitate communication, adoption, and integration of institutional HR initiatives and strategic projects
- Liaise between assigned schools/departments, the HR Solutions Center, and Centers of Excellence
- Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to tailor and implement HR solutions
- Provide policy, program, and knowledge-base feedback to Centers of Excellence
- Align workforce and budget planning with Finance and administrative business officers
- Connect campus partners with appropriate HR expertise and resources
- Monitor and interpret HR metrics and dashboards
- Analyze HR data and provide actionable insights and recommendations
- Support HR policy, process, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts
- Lead communications and engagement strategies related to HR initiatives and policy updates
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- 8 years of Human Resources work experience
- Experience supporting senior academic or administrative leaders through complex organizational and workforce changes
- Master's degree preferred
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred
- 5 years of experience in a university setting or large, complex organization with a matrix structure preferred
- Pre-employment screening required for external candidates receiving an offer
