About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide overnight teleradiology coverage for BJC-affiliated hospitals across Illinois
- Work 7 consecutive nights from 11:00 PM–7:00 AM CT, followed by 14 nights off
- Provide work that is a minimum 80% of the radiologist’s subspecialty
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients using evidence-based, compassionate clinical management
- Coordinate with nurses, advanced practitioners, specialists, case managers, and ancillary staff
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Record patient encounters, orders, and follow-up information accurately in EPIC
- Maintain active licensure and privileges
- Comply with WashU Medicine policies and ethical, regulatory, and confidentiality requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school
- Hold or be eligible to obtain medical license(s) in Missouri and/or Illinois
- Eligible for Illinois and Missouri licensure
- ABR board certified or eligible in specialty area
- Proficient in emergency CT and routine inpatient imaging
- Excellent communication skills
- Teleradiology experience preferred
- Ability to maintain active licensure and privileges
- Experience is not specifically required
