About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the strategy and implementation of professional-credit programs
Develop and implement strategies aligned with the school’s educational mission
Gather learning needs, program requirements, timelines, and strategic outcomes from stakeholders
Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop content and learning experiences across modalities
Ensure course design and materials meet accessibility standards and best practices
Address challenges involving course content, assessments, and learning activities
Assess courses and instructors to ensure quality guidelines and learning outcomes are met
Administer Canvas LMS subaccounts supporting subject matter experts, staff, and students
Support Canvas, Panopto, Zoom, and other educational technology tools
Research and recommend instructional design models and emerging technologies
Oversee digital-resource training delivery and scalable learning solutions
Manage Destiny One registration and reporting for professional-credit courses and certificates
Oversee the learner portal for external registrations, payments, and account management
Set up course sections, manage enrollments, and coordinate financial revenue distribution
Generate and analyze reports on enrollment trends, revenue patterns, and program success
Provide instructor training in platform use and course design
Design and deliver technology workshops for internal and external audiences
Develop and maintain training materials and documentation
Collaborate across units to align strategies and learning initiatives
Represent the school in university-wide and national discussions on online learning and workforce development
Partner with IT and external vendors to maintain operational and integrated technology tools
Perform other duties supporting CAPS leadership, staff, and students

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in educational technology, instructional design, curriculum design, or a related discipline; combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
Five years of progressively responsible experience in course design, faculty training, higher education sales, higher education solutions, or related experience
Experience with project management and Canvas LMS
Familiarity with professional-credit registration systems such as Destiny One
Demonstrated experience working with confidential projects using discretion and independent judgment
Familiarity with University Information Systems such as Workday
Ability to work outside of normal work hours
Entrepreneurial with thorough knowledge of instructional design principles, learning strategies, and information technology
Strong analytical skills to conduct data analysis and develop recommendations
Exceptional project management skills with ability to meet deadlines and multitask
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
Proven ability to lead projects from initiation through closure, including managing timelines, resources, and cross-functional teams
No specific certification/professional license is required
Driver's license is not required
