About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evolve CNN’s advertising products and footprints across desktop web, mobile web, mobile app, and video surfaces
- Create user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes to conceptualize product features
- Help drive user research sessions and usability tests
- Create, contribute to, and maintain design-system components
- Champion design principles, design systems, and the product roadmap
- Serve editorial teams’ needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to brainstorm, envision, and validate new ad products and footprints
- Partner with product managers, engineers, designers, researchers, and data scientists to build CNN’s digital products
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years as a product designer, ideally in ad tech, marketing tech, or growth design
- Strong Figma experience, including variables, components, styles, and shared libraries
- Track record of product thinking and helping teams prioritize problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency using design-system components to create scalable user experiences
- Experience working on consumer-facing products within large-scale organizations
- Ability to manage design tasks and work cross-functionally with other disciplines
- Developing strengths in UX best practices, usability principles, user research methodology, testing techniques including A/B and multivariate testing, design theory, and interaction design
- Bachelor’s degree in design or human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
