About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure that the company's content assets are accurately accounted for
  • Maintain and account for WBD's Direct to Consumer content assets and amortization expenses
  • Prepare accruals and other manual journal entries and related supporting documents
  • Prepare supporting files to analyze the monthly activity of assigned accounts
  • Identify and highlight relevant P&L variances between the current month and the YTD average
  • Report those variances to Accounting Manager
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Suggest changes to the Accounting Manager
  • Assist in special projects including the system implementation of SAP S/4HANA

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent
  • 2 years of accounting/audit experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in working with all levels of management including project managers
  • Experience preparing and reviewing general ledger account reconciliations
  • Experience with monthly and quarterly financial reporting and variance analysis
  • Preferred: Master’s degree and/or CPA
  • 2+ Content accounting or media experience
  • Previous knowledge and experience with ERP Systems (SAP or PeopleSoft)
  • Good knowledge of asset classification and experience in planning and executing audits
  • Strong understanding of general ledger and sub ledger
