About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • To assist the Category Manager in sales follow-up related duties and clerical work.
  • Assists in key activities to secure onboarding of new licensees and support existing ones to place incremental products on shelves.
  • Follows up sales negotiations with certain licensees by filling up deal requisition forms, collecting financial information and submitting negotiations to Burbank for corporate approval.
  • Leads certain non-key category negotiations from beginning to end through the scouting, pitching, sales, contract admin and post sales process.
  • Assists the category managers for tracking deal requisitions and contracts in Burbank headquarters.
  • Schedules meetings and conference calls on behalf of the category managers.
  • Collects samples from active licensees and competitive products from competitors.
  • Ensures all products are submitted through the proper Brand Assurance system for correct approvals.
  • Assists with the development of presentations for the category managers.
  • Assists with preparing the different forecasting cycles along with the category manager.
  • Ensures that selected licensees are submitting forecasts through SEEKER.
  • Helps the Retail Analytics team in training and following up information submission from licensees into our system of retail SKUs.
  • Coordinates mass mailings to licensees, distributors & retailers.
  • Collects industry information regarding product market share and marketing materials.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree or equivalent in business studies, merchandising, marketing or brand management.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales.
  • Understanding of the role of entertainment properties as a marketing tool in the promotion's environment and their effective translation to tangible products and promotions.
  • Excellent selling/presentation skills.
  • Excellent Computer skills including MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Successful development of internal communications, sales and marketing presentations.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
