About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with Art Direction and content teams to elevate the game experience by designing and creating real-time visual effects across the game.
  • Develop creative direction for VFX techniques and styling to maintain a consistent user experience.
  • Coordinate with multiple teams to assess and prioritize their VFX needs.
  • Collaborate with the technical team and available tools to improve the VFX pipeline.
  • Act as a mentor and share your knowledge with team members.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 8 years of experience creating VFX for video games and involvement in more than one published AAA title.
  • A portfolio or website demonstrating your artistic skills.
  • Understanding of hardware constraints and mastery of techniques to work within or around them.
  • Proficiency in Maya and Photoshop; familiarity with related tools such as Houdini and EmberGen is an asset.
  • Strong experience developing VFX in game engines; knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and the Niagara pipeline is highly desired.
  • Active interest in advancing VFX trends and techniques.
  • Solid understanding of shader technology.
  • Mentoring experience is considered a desirable asset.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.
  • A motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment.
