About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Director, Linear Systems leads the design, delivery, and modernization of Warner Bros. Discovery’s Linear advertising platforms.
Responsible for ensuring that linear ad-tech solutions are scalable, reliable, and fully integrated.
Act as a senior technical and delivery leader, partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering.
Oversee integrations between linear platforms and converged digital, identity, data, and sales systems.
Drive the evolution of legacy linear systems toward converged, agentic-driven, and cloud-enabled architectures.
Partner with Sales, Product, Finance, and Operations to align system capabilities with revenue and market priorities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline required
15+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering or platform delivery
Strong understanding of linear advertising systems including planning, order management, trafficking, forecasting, yield, and reporting
Experience designing and operating large-scale, high-availability systems; cloud and API experience strongly preferred
Proven track record modernizing legacy systems while supporting active business operations
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence outcomes across Product, Sales, Finance, and Engineering.
