About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implements and executes strategies for long-term growth in the Global Themed Entertainment (GTE) category
- Primarily focused on the Gaming category (wager based) with support of overall GTE development and management
- Manages specific licensing activities for Gaming with responsibility for potential business growth opportunities
- Evangelizes GTE/Gaming strategy and goals
- Supports both short-term and long-term GTE/Gaming strategies in order to maximize revenue and brand exposure
- Utilizing industry knowledge, determines appropriate business opportunities based on licensee experience, market share, creative ability, financial proposal, speed to market and overall fit within GTE/Gaming portfolio of themed experiences
- Focuses on managing and growing Gaming portfolio brands by staying abreast on industry trends
- Manages all aspects of assigned GTE/Gaming accounts from pitching properties to servicing the day-to-day business needs of licensees
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of previous category management experience
- Experience or familiarity with the gaming industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Strong willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges with a proactive mindset
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and approach problems with “outside‑the‑box” solutions
- Knowledge of the licensing industry is a plus; familiarity with Warner Bros. Discovery IP preferred
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver sales presentations and communicate effectively with clients, licensees, and management to determine needs and solve problems
- Ability to communicate professionally, confidently, and tactfully with senior management and all levels of personnel
- Self‑starter with the confidence to take initiative and work independently under time constraints
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while managing competing priorities
- Must be able to lift 20+ lbs
- Must be able to travel when necessary
