About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and manage scalable observability platforms for metrics, logs, and traces
Standardize and automate data ingestion from various sources, using agents and pipelines
Configure intelligent alerts and build effective dashboards to visualize system health
Analyze complex data to diagnose issues, find root causes, and prevent future incidents in distributed systems
Work with application support, operations, and developers to embed observability into the software development lifecycle
Daily use and administration of tools like Prometheus, Grafana, SolarWinds, Datadog and other leading tools in this space
Drive adoption of observability best practices, document use cases and enhance data fidelity

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years in an observability engineering
Strong understanding of on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
Proficiency with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience with container-based platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking.
