About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the month end close process to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness
- Review and approve the team’s work product to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company policies and controls
- Ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained
- Review and highlight relevant P&L and B/S variances between current month and YTD
- Analyze existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide guidance to the team on how to implement those changes
- Lead special projects and proactively develop accurate ad hoc analyses for management to make informed decisions
- Including assisting in the system implementation of SAP S/4HANA and redesign processes that are currently performed in Peoplesoft
- Review and maintain accounting process documentation
- Assist with team administration: feedback, development, training, assessment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s & CA (Inter) or master’s degree in accounting or finance
- CMA/CIMA (CA, CPA will be plus)
- at least 7+ years of accounting experience in international environment
- Having as exposure of leading/ Mentoring team of 8-15 resources
- Strong practical and theoretical accounting knowledge
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt to dynamic and uncertain environments (flexibility and prioritization)
- Proactivity and accountability.
- Proficient in Excel and other MS tools.
- Abilities to develop interpersonal relationships.
- Experience in Blackline/Cadency Certification will be plus
- Experience in Media Industry, Big Four firms or global companies will be plus
- Experience in SAP/Peoplesoft or other ERP systems will be plus
- Experience in Hyperion, SmartView, EPM and other database tools will be plus
