About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with fellow design, product, engineering, research, editorial, and analytics teams
- Create tools that enable journalists to tell immersive and impactful stories
- Impact the future of CNN's mobile native experience
- Attend squad and team ceremonies as part of a collaborative culture
- Partner closely with senior product designers on features and tickets
- Take part in QA and testing as part of a cross-functional team
- Collaborate with product and user research on testing plans
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years' work experience as a Product Designer
- Knowledge of visual design elements including typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Design portfolio highlighting work in native mobile experiences
- Familiarity with collaboration with internal stakeholders such as product management and engineering
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud tools
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
- Interest in content creation, strategy, and communication is desirable; media experience is a plus.
