About the role
- Develop, pitch, and execute innovative short‑form content concepts focused on wellness topics
- Translate wellness topics into accessible, engaging, and visually compelling video storytelling
- Create content grounded in strongly researched topics
- Build repeatable franchises and series that can scale across platforms
- Identify and collaborate with experts in the space who are great on‑camera to bring stories to life
- Lead end‑to‑end production of short‑form video content, including concept development, scripting, shot lists, directing, and post‑production oversight
- Direct and support internal talent and external experts during shoots
- Manage and execute shoots efficiently while maintaining high creative and editorial standards
- Contribute to the development of visual assets for promotion across the CNN app and other digital platforms
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience producing digital‑first video content
- A passion for health and wellness, with a demonstrated interest in the space
- Someone who participates in whatever zeitgeist conversation is happening online!
- Deep understanding of digital trends and the ability to participate meaningfully in current online and cultural conversations.
- Strong storytelling instincts paired with sharp research and editorial judgment
- Hands‑on experience managing and leading shoots
- Podcasting or audio experience is a plus
- Editing skills are a plus
