About the role

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers focused on ad technologies and user experience
  • Drive the technical strategy and execution for ad integrations, including display, video, and programmatic ads
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize work that aligns with business goals and user needs
  • Guide the team through technical planning, discovery, and delivery of scalable ad solutions
  • Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architectural guidance, and hands-on contributions when needed
  • Ensure high standards of quality, performance, and reliability in all ad-related features and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience managing and growing engineering teams (5+ years preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience hiring, onboarding, and mentoring engineers
  • Demonstrated success in delivering performant, scalable consumer-facing applications
  • Full-stack development experience with JavaScript, modern frameworks, HTML/CSS, and responsive design; Python experience is a plus
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms for scalable infrastructure
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and consumer testing platforms to optimize ad performance and user experience
  • Knowledge of operational tools such as PagerDuty and experience managing an on-call team
  • Deep understanding of ad development and integration on publisher websites for display and video ad formats, using Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs), such as Google Ad Manager and Freewheel, and other 3rd party ad technology, business development and affiliate marketing solutions.
