About the role

  • Ensure WBD’s CNN, DTC/Streaming, Content Distribution, Technology, & Ad Sales businesses maintain full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and WBD policies
  • Adapt businesses, operations and personnel to new revenue opportunities and changing regulatory requirements
  • Manage complex ethics and compliance risks for assigned businesses
  • Partner with business executives, legal partners and stakeholders to mitigate ethics and compliance risks
  • Develop, implement, and provide training on laws, regulations and policies
  • Conduct/manage internal investigations and manage multi-faceted projects
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance for ethics and compliance-related issues
  • Provide clear and decisive counsel to senior executives regarding risk exposure

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a compliance and regulatory-focused role
  • preferably with media company, and specifically global news organization, experience
  • JD or equivalent degree in law required
  • Proven record of operational leadership
  • Strong ability to act Independently
  • Clear communicator with key stakeholders
  • A willingness to travel, as needed
