About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor computer networks, systems, and security tools for threats and suspicious activity
Analyze alerts, logs, and security events involving malware, exploits, and cyber-attacks
Assist with daily malware reviews and remediation efforts
Escalate vulnerabilities and security gaps to IT leadership
Support vulnerability assessments and remediation processes
Document investigations, findings, and incident response activities
Assist with security audits, documentation requests, and compliance initiatives
Coordinate with vendors to resolve IT security issues
Research emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices
Support forensic response efforts when necessary
Help educate team members on cybersecurity awareness and security procedures
Maintain strong communication with internal users and stakeholders
Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be at least 21 years of age
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in cybersecurity, cyber analysis, or related IT field
Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License
Knowledge of penetration testing and network security principles
Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM platforms, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
Ability to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to incidents
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Industry certifications such as CISSP or related certifications are preferred.
