About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead design, growth, revenue, profitability, staff management, and client relationships for the local market
- Oversee finances, business development, operations, and team member management
- Ensure all client and consultant proposals and contracts are in place
- Review and sign off on project budget reports before contract execution
- Maintain organizational charts and review office forecasts, financials, and staffing needs with the Region's operations manager
- Ensure positive team culture, morale, and general wellbeing
- Review monthly project revenue projections and provide weekly updates
- Prepare monthly business reports and participate in monthly meetings
- Develop client relationships and increase market share and won work
- Attend business development and networking functions
- Track business development activity using the Ware Malcomb CRM system
- Review group workload and attend scheduling meetings
- Proactively manage project liability issues
- Maintain regular team meetings and communication
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to recruit new team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience within the field of interior design
- Prior experience leading a team or studio
- Proposals experience
- Experience developing and maintaining client relationships in the local market
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- Ability to lead and foster a team environment
- Registered Interior Designer, Licensed Architect, or NCIDQ Certification strongly preferred
