Designer I, Interior Architecture – Design
Ware MalcombDesigner I supporting innovative design projects in Interior Architecture at Ware Malcomb. Collaborating with team members and assisting in the delivery of various project phases.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Project Manager or Interior Designer in the delivery of innovative design projects
- Assist in multiple aspects of the architecture and interior design process, including design and documentation across all project phases, preparation of materials and presentations, and support during construction administration activities
- Collaborate with the team to suggest finishes, fixtures, and furniture for projects
- Assist in the drafting of space planning concepts and creation of program documents
- Communicate with industry partners and Ware Malcomb employees
- Assist with submittals during the construction administration phase
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years' experience in Interior Architecture & Design
- Bachelor's degree or technical degree/certificate in an accredited Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture related program
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create components of presentation packages
- Understanding what information will need to be presented to a client with the guidance of your supervisor
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Ability to work with your team members to solve problems involving multiple options
- Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles
- Understanding and application of design principles, theories, color and materials
