About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the delivery of planned and preventative maintenance
Develop and lead a small team of 3 Multi Skilled Engineers to drive the effectiveness of the engineering team in reducing downtime and increasing productivity
Ensure daily preventative maintenance activities are completed to a high standard
Resolve breakdowns quickly and efficiently to maximise plant reliability, performance, product quality and safety
Take lead on more complex maintenance tasks
Ensure required parts are available
Responsible for a detailed handover to the next shift team
Lead the short interval control meetings with production team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Electrical or Mechanical engineering experience
Fault Finding and Route Cause Analysis skills
Knowledge and experience of maintenance preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment
People Management Skills
H&S knowledge e.g., PUWER, IOSH – able to ensure a safe working environment
Structured and practical engineering training (e.g. apprenticeship/HNC/degree)
Coaching and mentoring skills, takes responsibility for the training and coaching of others
Analysing and problem-solving skills, anticipates problems before they occur and takes steps to deal with them/correctly and swiftly
Communication and relationship building skills
