About the role
- Set clear goals for Group Leaders and hold them accountable for growth and profitability
- Monitor account financial health, including scopes, revenue, margins, and resourcing
- Partner with finance to optimize account structures, negotiate contracts, and protect profitability
- Establish resourcing models that balance quality and efficiency
- Identify and pursue opportunities for organic growth within client businesses
- Partner with new business leadership on pitches and presentations
- Oversee onboarding of new clients, ensuring strong early momentum
- Provide visionary leadership to guide teams toward breakthrough solutions
- Collaborate with executive leadership on agency growth strategy
- Lead, mentor, and inspire Group Leaders, fostering accountability and collaboration
- Build career paths for account service professionals with clear advancement opportunities
- Champion education in client leadership, profitability, and marketing innovation
- Recruit, retain, and develop top talent across account leadership
- Serve as senior executive presence for key clients, building trust-based partnerships
- Represent WTA with credibility and gravitas internally and externally
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated solutions
- Manage to established goals and ensure accountability across account service
- Track and communicate results aligned with agency priorities and client objectives
- Translate insights into actionable strategies that balance client needs with agency health
Requirements
- 15+ years of account leadership experience in an advertising agency
- Proven success driving organic growth, profitability, and client satisfaction on complex accounts
- Experience managing a team of 30+
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in analyzing performance and leading negotiations
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience mentoring senior account leaders
- Visionary, strategic thinker who inspires teams and clients
- Strong relationship-building skills with executive-level credibility
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
