About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete four six-month rotations across accounting and finance teams in Walmart US, Sam’s Club, International, and Corporate
Participate in Finance & Strategy or Accounting track rotations
Gain exposure to financial planning, data analysis, financial modeling, strategic decision support, and initiative implementation
Complete dedicated training in leadership, technical, and soft skills, including a capstone experiential learning component
Access senior leadership, executive roundtables, and AFDP-only experiences at stores, clubs, and supply chain facilities
Participate in peer and senior leader mentorship
Participate in group coaching sessions
Create individualized development plans and participate in assessments and coaching debrief sessions
Grow into future leadership roles at Walmart and influence the team joined after 24 months

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or master's program with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field at the time of application
Graduation date prior to June 2027
3.0 GPA or higher
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field OR 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area
A successful candidate will not require sponsorship now or in the future
Ability to take on challenging and complex assignments
Ability to use data to develop workable solutions
Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
Ability to thrive in ambiguity
Self-starter with ownership and results-driven approach
Intellectual curiosity and ability to understand the bigger picture
