About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable search and backend systems
  • Develop, deploy, and manage machine learning models in collaboration with data science teams
  • Optimize system performance for search algorithms and ML pipelines
  • Ensure seamless integration between APIs, services, and ML models
  • Lead and contribute to system architecture, code reviews, and best practices
  • Drive execution of business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing plans, removing obstacles, and measuring progress
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates through selection, training, mentoring, assignment of duties, performance evaluations, recognition, and coaching
  • Promote company policies, procedures, mission, values, ethics, compliance, and Open Door Policy
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of plans and initiatives and identify improvements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Participate in and support community outreach events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area (Option 1)
  • 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area (Option 2)
  • Strong backend engineering and software development experience
  • Hands-on expertise with ML systems, DevOps, and deploying machine learning models
  • Experience working with data science teams on model integration
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or similar) and cloud services
