About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own scoped feature or model delivery through collaborative engineering teams
  • Manage implementation, iteration, testing, and ongoing support for services, APIs, user interfaces, or ML model components
  • Write clean, efficient, and reliable software code
  • Drive the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Build automation scripts and implement telemetry features
  • Conduct code structure reviews and support defect management and debugging
  • Integrate AI agents and ML components using internal and external APIs
  • Leverage GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot
  • Convert high-level designs into detailed designs using mock screens, pseudocode, and functional logic
  • Evaluate trade-offs and design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems
  • Participate in design reviews and apply appropriate design patterns
  • Engage stakeholders to define complex business or user problems, technical requirements, and success metrics
  • Monitor application performance and conduct complex maintenance procedures
  • Track milestones and timelines through reporting, CI/CD tools, and logging systems
  • Promote engineering excellence, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and platform enhancement
  • Own quality, performance, uptime, and customer experience of delivered features

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area
  • Preferred knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards
  • Preferred knowledge of assistive technologies and digital accessibility best practices
  • Ability to use languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++
  • Experience with CI/CD deployments, automated testing, observability, monitoring, maintenance, telemetry, and debugging
  • Experience integrating AI agents and ML components using APIs
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices
  • Knowledge of scalable, secure, and maintainable software design
  • Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly
