About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Map product and business requirements to machine learning and AI problems
Research, design, and implement scalable machine learning models for recommender systems and other computational models
Perform hands-on analysis and modeling of large datasets to develop actionable insights
Build robust modeling systems using LLMs, deep learning, regression, Bayesian, and online learning models
Solve complex business problems with advanced statistical models
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on shared product goals
Develop personalized recommendations and scalable AI solutions serving millions of customers across e-commerce touch points
Create reusable technologies supporting customer acquisition, onboarding, and merchants

Requirements

What you’ll need

PhD with 2+ years or MS with 5+ years of industry experience in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or Operational Research
Alternatively, bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ experience or 6 years’ experience in an analytics or related field
Experience implementing and scaling production-grade modeling systems using machine learning, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and advanced statistical models
Strong background in reinforcement learning, contextual bandits, and short- and long-term reward optimization
High proficiency in Java, Python, and PySpark
Experience with TensorFlow and PyTorch
Capability to design and develop high-performance applications
Knowledge of dimensionality reduction, predictive modeling, clustering, and text mining for feature engineering
Ability to innovate, solve complex problems, adapt to new technologies, and find creative solutions
Search recommendation experience strongly preferred
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
