About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development and execution of seasonal fashion design concepts aligned with brand identity and market trends
- Oversee detailed sketches, illustrations, and prototypes for product development and quality standards
- Integrate customer insights, trend forecasting, and competitive analysis into design strategies and assortment planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize design workflows, improve efficiency, and deliver collections on time
- Drive innovation in materials, fit, and color theory while maintaining cost-effectiveness
- Mentor design teams, promote operational rigor, and uphold brand consistency across categories and channels
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, textile design, or related area and 8 years’ experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area; or 10 years’ experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area
- 5 years’ supervisory experience
- Extensive expertise in fashion design principles, visual communication, sketching, illustration, and fit concepts
- Strong knowledge of color theory, print execution, fabric selection, and prototype development
- Proven ability to lead seasonal design workflows, optimize product development timelines, and integrate cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with PLM, CAD, 3D modeling, and AI-enhanced design systems
- Experience applying market and cultural trend insights to create trend-right assortments aligned with brand strategy
- Skill in brand management and maintaining aesthetic cohesion within commercial positioning
- Ability to leverage customer insights and data analytics to refine design intent and product relevance
