About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC systems, building equipment, ductwork, and control components
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely while following OSHA and company protocols
- Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders using digital tools
- Communicate service needs and status updates to facility operators and management
- Participate in on-call rotations and support multiple facility locations
- Contribute to facility operational efficiency and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls
- Alternatively, 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling equipment, or related trades
- Alternatively, 2 years’ store experience
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
- Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for handling and servicing refrigerants
- Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years
- No more than two moving violations in the last three years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years
- Proven experience installing, configuring, and maintaining HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, safety protocols, and personal protective equipment
- Competence using digital tools for work order management, scheduling, and documentation
- Effective communication skills
- Preferred: completion of a 2-year vocational or technical HVAC program
- Preferred: experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, reading blueprints/schematics/wiring diagrams, and using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
