About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC systems, building equipment, ductwork, and control components
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs
Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely while following OSHA and company protocols
Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders using digital tools
Communicate service needs and status updates to facility operators and management
Participate in on-call rotations and support multiple facility locations
Contribute to facility operational efficiency and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls
Alternatively, 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling equipment, or related trades
Alternatively, 2 years’ store experience
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for handling and servicing refrigerants
Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years
No more than two moving violations in the last three years
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years
Proven experience installing, configuring, and maintaining HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components
Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation
Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
Familiarity with OSHA standards, safety protocols, and personal protective equipment
Competence using digital tools for work order management, scheduling, and documentation
Effective communication skills
Preferred: completion of a 2-year vocational or technical HVAC program
Preferred: experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, reading blueprints/schematics/wiring diagrams, and using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
