About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
  • Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
  • Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues
  • Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
  • Perform primary responsibilities under the direct supervision of an experienced technician
  • Follow established schedules and guidelines for inspections, cleaning, and repairs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
  • Option 1: 1 year's experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area
  • Option 2: 2 years' Walmart store experience
  • Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
  • Ability to move up and down ladders frequently
  • Comfortable working at heights frequently
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods
  • Ability to work in various temperatures
  • Must maintain an excellent driving record
  • Must complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
