About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and repair Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets
Use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities
Provide prompt responses to emergency maintenance calls
Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policies, and environmental guidelines
Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance
Large-scale rack refrigeration experience
Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report
Commercial driving record requirements: no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years; no more than two moving violations in the last three years; no preventable commercial motor vehicle accidents in the last three years; no serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years
At least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent
Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related commercial HVAC/R and building controls
Option 2: 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related commercial HVAC/R and building controls or a related field
Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
HVAC-R/mechanical journeyman qualification where required
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights frequently
Ability to comply with Walmart safety and environmental guidelines
