Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of WatchTower and its platform capabilities
Build and develop high-performing engineering teams
Foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation
Define technical roadmaps
Partner with engineering leaders across Marketplace to improve reliability, developer productivity, and operational maturity
Drive cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, observability, AI, and automation practices
Deliver scalable internal platforms improving the engineering experience for more than 1,000 engineers
Lead the engineering organization responsible for WatchTower, the engineering operating system for Marketplace

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; or 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
3 years' supervisory experience
Experience leading software engineering organizations building large-scale platform or infrastructure products
Strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and developer platforms
Experience defining engineering strategy and delivering highly scalable software platforms
Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead high-performing engineering teams
Deep understanding of CI/CD, observability, automation, AI, and operational excellence
Ability to influence across organizations and translate technical strategy into measurable business outcomes
