Key responsibilities & impact

Define and lead Marketplace-wide strategies for reliability, operational excellence, and engineering maturity
Partner with engineering leaders on cross-organizational initiatives spanning availability, observability, incident management, engineering productivity, and AI
Establish engineering standards, operating mechanisms, and organizational metrics across Marketplace
Drive complex, multi-organization programs and influence technical direction and engineering strategy
Measure outcomes through operational intelligence and continuously improve engineering performance at organizational scale
Partner with engineering executives to improve reliability, operational excellence, developer productivity, and engineering maturity across thousands of engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area
Option 2: 9 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area
Experience leading large-scale technical programs across multiple engineering organizations
Strong technical understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, software delivery, reliability engineering, and operational excellence
Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and align engineering organizations around common technical objectives
Experience driving organizational transformation through engineering standards, operational metrics, and cross-functional leadership
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and executive presence
Ability to lead through influence rather than authority
Demonstrated success delivering measurable engineering and business outcomes in large, complex technology organizations
