About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead capital planning activities for the transportation business, supporting AOP and LRP processes and aligning investment strategies with operational priorities and financial objectives
  • Develop and maintain financial models for capital investments, growth initiatives, and strategic business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance financial processes and transparency
  • Lead execution of business plans by identifying priorities, removing obstacles, and measuring performance
  • Support Walmart’s eCommerce transportation business through short- and long-range financial planning and growth opportunity evaluation
  • Leverage automation and AI to improve planning efficiency, data quality, and insight generation
  • Analyze business performance, explain key variances, and provide actionable financial insights
  • Partner with transportation leadership, data analytics, continuous improvement, Finance, and Operations teams to support investment decisions and operational excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area
  • 1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience
  • Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling
  • Proven ability to manage complex control structures and mitigate financial risks
  • Working knowledge of SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Experience mentoring, developing, and managing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting financial results and collaborating cross-functionally
  • Expertise in driving business plans, measuring performance, and implementing process improvements
  • Commitment to ethics, integrity, and compliance with company policies and standards
  • Ability to adapt, innovate, and support continuous learning within the finance function
