Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare financial analyses and models to support strategic planning and recommend future expense targets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business performance and communicate significant variances
Develop and maintain complex control structures to mitigate financial risks and enhance reporting transparency
Produce financial models incorporating assumptions, risks, and forecasts for senior management presentations
Support business unit budgeting using historical trends and expected future events
Lead and develop associates through mentoring, training, and performance management
Ensure compliance with company policies and promote ethical standards in financial processes
Support strategic financial planning, annual operating plans, forecasts, and long-range plans for the Transportation Operations group
Manage financial analysis and risk/opportunity identification for a $1.1 billion transportation P&L
Communicate financial insights to senior management and stakeholders
Promote continuous process improvement and transparent financial reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 2 years' experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area, OR 4 years' experience in accounting, finance, or related area
Proven expertise in financial analysis, planning, and forecasting
Strong management skills and experience leading teams, mentoring, and developing talent
Ability to conduct variance analysis and clearly communicate financial results to cross-functional stakeholders
Proficiency in process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience developing and maintaining financial controls and reporting structures
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Commitment to integrity, ethics, and compliance
Effective communication skills for presenting complex financial information to senior management
