About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead safety and compliance programs across seven Regional Training Centers supporting driver onboarding, assessment, training, and development
- Provide leadership and accountability for Area Safety Managers
- Ensure consistent DOT/FMCSA compliance, including Hours of Service, Driver Qualification requirements, ELD governance, and safety standards
- Monitor safety and performance trends, identify risks, implement corrective actions, and support audit readiness
- Drive process standardization, safety training, remedial coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyze compliance and driver performance data
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders
- Serve as a subject matter expert on fleet safety, regulatory compliance, and transportation best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area
- 2 years’ supervisory experience
- 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated leadership experience in transportation safety, fleet compliance, or DOT regulatory operations
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, including Hours of Service, Driver Qualification requirements, Drug and Alcohol compliance, ELD governance, and CSA performance management
- Experience leading multi-site safety programs, supporting audits and investigations, and driving corrective actions
- Proven ability to influence leaders, strengthen accountability, and manage risk in fast-paced environments
- Strong analytical, communication, and coaching skills
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or private fleet operations and relevant certifications are preferred
- Master's in Business Administration, Project Management Professional certification are preferred qualifications
