About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform routine preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures
Inspect, clean, repair, and document wear and tear
Gather capital expense information and recommend repair or replacement needs
Perform major and minor repairs using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment skills
Diagnose issues using inspections, testing, blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs
Dismantle equipment and remove defective parts using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment
Respond promptly to emergency calls and document repair activities
Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors
Order parts and replacement equipment, track orders, record purchases and usage, and submit warranty claims
Comply with OSHA, EPA, and federal, state, and local regulations
Ensure contractors meet Walmart quality, safety, and contract requirements
Unload, store, and transport equipment between facilities
Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, and support timelines and work quality
Develop and implement processes and practices by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners
Monitor progress, identify improvement opportunities, and support compliance with company policies, ethics, and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

2 years of experience in the plumbing trade
Valid Driver's License
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Licensed Journeyman Plumber or equivalent in the state where you will be working
Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical trade program (preferred)
Intermediate functionality in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (preferred)
License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located (preferred)
Compliance with Walmart's drug-free workplace policy
